"Oh." Really, for how many times she'd heard those exact same words over and over, Lup really shouldn't sound quite as surprised as she does. The fire licking at her fingers disappears as she moves to sit up, stretching her arms over her head. "Right. Gotta be ready to take off in an instant."
Which really, Lup understands the whole significance of, especially the more and more cycles they go through, but that doesn't mean she appreciates being stuck with babysitting duty (the ship, not Angus). Her skillset isn't meant to be contained within any number of walls, she's meant to be out there in the world, getting it done! Not lounging around the ship waiting for everyone else to return. This just sucks.
"Alright, so we can't leave. Shitty, but it's whatevs. Doesn't mean we can't find something fun to do inside. What's your favorite thing to do that isn't nerdy?"
Um, wow, rude, Angus has lots of cool pastimes. Like...reading and....more reading. He sits up a little straighter, folding his hands neatly on the table and lifting his chin a bit.
"I think you'd have to define "nerdy" in order for me to answer that accurately." Then, after a pause: "I like magic."
But there's that familiar spark of interest behind her gaze at the mention of magic, because as obvious an answer as it is, it's one of the better ones. Magic is so very rarely boring (even if it can kinda get nerdy sometimes.) "Okay, okay. Good start! So what kind of fun can we have with magic indoors that isn't going to get you grounded?"
Lup has ascended being grounded, so naturally, only Angus would be punished for this.
