Taako

Her twin brother and her heart, Taako is the closest feeling to home that Lup's ever known. The two of them have lived through it all together, knowing full well that their scrappy childhood was only survivable because they had one another to rely on. Hadriel's brought them some much needed time to fall back into sync with one another after their years apart, each event experienced just bringing them closer and closer together. Now with the reassurance that they've been reunited during their timeline back home, Lup fully believes they're unstoppable, even if Lucretia's arrival presents some unforeseen problems.

Barry J. Bluejeans

Straight from their very first encounter, Lup honed in on Barry as someone she could effortlessly tease and bully, but it didn't take long for the flimsy professional boundaries between them to drop away, leaving the two to discover how deep their feelings went. They've been together now for over sixty years, bound together through their first and second lives, and now that Lup has him back with her in Hadriel, she's never letting him go. For all of the difficulty and unease from her reunion with Taako, everything with Barry seems to come so much easier. There may be more tears, but there's no doubt left in Lup's heart that they'll be just fine.

Magnus Burnsides

One of the six who Matter, Magnus was Head of Security on (what was supposed to be) a two-month expedition mission for the IPRE. But now with a century's worth of memories with the man, Magnus has become family and one of Lup's closest friends. His infectious optimism and general recklessness are traits that Lup herself shares, so the two of them play well off of each other's high energy, leading to many heroic rescues and just as many needless deaths together. Magnus' history in Hadriel runs everywhere. Currently, the man comes from just after the relics were dropped off, without a clue to what their future holds. It makes a few interactions a little awkward, especially since there are friends who know Magnus but he doesn't know them, but Lup loves the man with her full heart and is happy to help him adjust to life here.

Merle Highchurch

One of the six who Matter, Merle was the Resident Medic and Biologist on (what was supposed to be) a two-month expedition mission for the IPRE. Despite how aloof he seems and how awful he is at keeping his party alive, it didn't take long for Lup to warm up to the dwarf over the course of their one hundred year mission, his inability to ever take anything seriously both a blessing and an irritation depending on the situation. In Hadriel, Merle's done wonders at keeping Lup grounded when her very nature tells her to act instead of waiting around, his oftentimes pointless distractions something that Lup's come to rely on when the gods are trying to play with their emotions. And though she wouldn't say it aloud, her love for the dwarf only increased when he refused to come down hard on Lucretia while she was here. Lup will remember this.

Angus McDonald

Angus is the newest member of the family, the honorary eighth member of their little crew, but he's already carved out a chunk of space in Lup's heart. Her goal has become to get Angus actually acting like a kid, an experience that neither Taako nor herself really got to have. So far, this attempt has involved paintball guns, a lot of playful teasing, and some shared baking tips. This also means that she will beat up actual children to keep him safe. If asked, Lup will happily tell anyone that Angus is her nephew.

Her brother's ridiculous and very dead boyfriend, Kravitz has a surprisingly big heart for being the grim reaper. He's accepted Taako and his family with as much grace as can be expected, and has even managed to worm his way into Lup's heart. Just slightly.

Nathan Drake

Nate was one of Lup's first friends within the cave and it's a true mark of how close they are that she continues to torment him endlessly to this day. Though she liked the man enough on her own, the false memories that Hadriel implanted in their head's during their fake Pleasant Valley life only had that fondness for him grow. He's a part of the crew now, whether he wants to be or not, someone that Lup would easily trust with her back in a fight. With the arrival of Nate’s brother into Hadriel, some new information was brought to the light that momentarily pulled Nate and his wife, Elena, apart. Even with her close relationship to Elena and the fact he’d absolutely been in the wrong, Lup still dragged him out of his self-inflected loneliness to include him in her family’s safety zone during the Null invasion, making sure he was well taken care of. Lup would admit it to no one, but it was easy for her to relate to what he’d did, the need to hide certain truths from those you love.

Elena Fisher

Elena is Lup's closest female friend in Hadriel, the one she turns to when the situation just needs a woman's delicate touch, something none of the men in her life have much skill in. It says a lot that Lup's managed to open up to Elena at all in the short time they've known one another, a true test of how much she trusts this woman. Hadriel has thrown the two quite a few curveballs during their time there, but for each new trouble that pops up, the two women are unshakable in their dedication to one another. While Elena needed a place to crash during her and Nate’s brief separation, Lup was there to whisk her away with open arms and as much booze as possible, opening up with her advice in a show of vulnerability that she so rarely shows the world. But she trusts Elena of all people to not drag her for her emotions, which is more than Lup can say for most folks.

Alphys

Alphys is a puzzle. Lup can't really explain what continues to draw her to the other woman who just seems to be a mess of emotions and awkward pauses, but somehow along their numerous interactions, the elf's taken it upon herself to get Alphys out of her home and more involved with the world around her. After experiencing the other woman's memories through her dreams, Lup has a slightly deeper understanding of who her friend is and the guilt that she can’t ever shake off, the same kind of guilt that Lup herself feels weighed down by at times. The kind of scars they’ve left on the world don’t ever go away, no matter how hard they try to avert their eyes.

A young, scrappy girl that Lup can easily see her younger self in, Ellie has wiggled her way into Lup’s heart without even meaning to. It’s been a handful of months, but the two have already been through so much together: the Null invasion, Ellie's unfair murder, Magnus' sudden disappearance and then immediate return without his Hadriel memories. Lup never meant to take the position she has in Ellie's life, something almost familial, but it's just developed over the time they've spent together. And with Magnus gone? Someone has to rise up to try to fill some of that void he's left behind.

Terrence Ephemera

Who knew that Ephemera would end up being one of Lup's favorite people in Hadriel? The man's a little rough around the edges and was hella standoffish for their first meeting, but now that he's adjusted to Hadriel, Lup finds him laughing more and the pair get along remarkably well. Which may have something to do with their shared love of setting things on fire. Their friendship started off with small favors back and forth, paints and cookies and lighting people up, but now they've dropped the pretense of needing anything to just hang. Since experiencing the dream of his sister, Lup's become much more protective of the man, the image of Chica dying in his arms a nightmare that she could never forget. Despite how much they don't say around one another, they seem to understand each other perfectly. He's her go to guy in Hadriel.

Their interactions began with a rush of flames and a very upfront threat, but Wash is someone Lup has come to accept as a constant figure passing through her life. They aren't friends, but they aren't anything close to enemies either. They both are just looking out for Kyna's best interests, so in that single thing they remain a united front. If given the opportunity, Lup would save his ass in a fight.

Drake Holloway

Drake is one of Lup's closest friends in Hadriel, the steady voice of reason in all of their lives, guiding Lup with a gentle hand instead of scolding for her mistakes. Drake easily has the warmest heart that Lup's ever known, which makes his status as a zombie all the more heartbreaking, especially considering how peaceful he operates, always guiding Lup and Ephemera towards the non-violent resolution, even if it's against their natures. Even when the world seems against him, he's thoughtful and considerate, running into burning buildings to save strangers and choosing to be locked up before he can hurt others. There's a part of Lup that wishes she could be more like him, selfless and kind, willing to sacrifice more for the sake of those she loves, but she's just not as good as he is. He's one few people in Hadriel outside of her family that can actually get her talking, even if it takes some time, but his patience always pays off.

When the fuck did we become friends? What started as outright trolling has become one of the more unexpected friendships in Lup's life. Gren isn't all that he seems to be. On the outside, he looks rough, unapproachable, someone Lup wouldn't ever be caught hanging with, but after saving her life by sacrificing his own, something changed. With Hope's powers faint after the Null attack, Gren was brought back temporarily deaf, and sometime between the topics of vore and whether loving races with shorter lifespans was worth the inevitable pain, they became friends. When the Rage Event hit and Barry grew violently possessive, it was Gren that Lup sought out, trusting he'd keep her safe.

Kyna Midha

Kyna is the little sister that Lup never thought she wanted. A half-elf in a sea of humans, Kyna's snarkiness and sharp wit are what keep drawing Lup straight to her. She's fun to hang out with, one of the few people here who indulges Lup in talking shit about their friends, and Lup imagines that in a fight they'd be a real force to be reckoned with. Two evocation wizards against the world? No one would stand a chance. The more they speak, the closer and more protective of the other woman she becomes. After the incident with Ephemera, Lup's keeping a closer eye on Kyna. She knows the girl can take care of herself, but Lup knows a little something about having a big mouth and getting into trouble because of it.

Katherine Galloway

Kate manages to get along with Lup despite being a little more reserved a person than the elf, but Lup just sees that as a challenge. Getting Kate to dance with her or to laugh or just to react in general is something she'll continue to work on, dragging her friend out as often as she can for fun outside of monster slaying (though she's always up for that too). For all of Kate's aloofness, the pair have had some serious conversations since Hadriel moved from the caves to the vast desert, giving Lup quite an insight into her friend's thoughts and feelings about the world they're trapped in. As it stands, it seems they both seem to hold the same opinion on whether they want to stay or leave.

Laura Palmer

Laura, for all she tries to act like an adult, just comes off as very young to Lup. She doesn't have too much insight into the young woman's backstory or all of her troubles from home, but she enjoys her company and is curious to learn more about her. There's a definite part of Lup that's grown protective of her. If she's ever in danger, Lup won't be too far behind to light up anyone or anything in her path.
