Lup's smile goes wide as the awkward man stretches and bounces around on the screen of her phone, the elf finally shifting up into a sitting position so she could dangle her legs off of the bed. Malkus view goes a little frantic for a second, as Lup jumps from her airborne bed to the floor, but then she whips the phone right back in front of her face, still smiling.]
Not bad. It's kind of a start. But yeah, I could teach you a few moves. Could be amusing to see you try them out.
[The elf is moving through her apartment, stepping into the living room where there's a sudden flurry of excited barking in front of her, the sound of something very heavy bounding across the floor. Lup snaps at the unseen animal, a quick, sharp word in Elvish, before the noise stops and she grins at Malkus again.]

[ Malkus excitedly peered into the feed as he gathered up some of his usual things for an outing. Flask. Bit of ration wrapped up in an old wrapper. Cleaver. ]
If your otherworldly dance inspires Marian to good humors, I will be in your debt for quite some time! I cannot wait to see the ethereal nature of an elvish dance.
[Without a word, though there's definitely a flash of a smirk on her face, Lup turns her phone around to zoom in on a muzzle that does not at all belong to a dog. Malkus is treated to a curious varren nose pressing up against the screen before it shifts it's head to show off it's teeth, then tries to snap up Lup's phone. She pulls it away just barely, before reaching over to give Peanut a quick pat on the head.]
Not sure if sane applies, but we found her in the caves. She's still a little...bitey, but she's getting better.
Why would you keep a demon in your home, that creature will eviscerate you whilst you sleep and feed on your essence. But we can meet outside of the shops if you'd like. I'm nearby anyway.

Malkus still wouldn't want his flock anywhere near Hadriel, but it was lonely. He craved the camaraderie of likeminded plague doctors. Strolling along, Malkus tried to keep his spirits up. But it was difficult. He was such an alien here...
He showed up as promised, finding a clearing to move around a bit! Though he seemed preoccupied with picking at his claws. It was a moment of obliviousness. ]
[Lup's five minutes becomes fifteen before the woman makes her appearance, hair piled up casually on top of her head, dressed in a pair of comfortable capri sweats and a crop top. Funny how long it takes her to get ready considering her look is just all about appearing casual and not caring.]
[ Malkus noted her clothing and thought on his own. He only had the one set of robes, and underneath was the same beaten tunic and tight fitting breeches. Were there clothing shops in this city? That may end up being step 2 in this little transformation of his. Finding some proper clothes from a futuristic time beyond his own. On that note, grooming really did need to step up on his priorities now that his main focus was no longer the plague. ]

My uniform is of utmost prestige, but maybe I can take some advice for a more casual outfit. What sort of things pass for fashion in your world?

For one, lose the robes. Especially in black, yuck. Talk about boring. You need more color in your life.
[ Lup has a brutal honesty about her but Malkus guessed it was better than lying and telling him things to make him feel better. Only that wasn't true, because that was exactly the sort of friends he preferred. Why can't everybody lie about everything to maintain the thin fabric of society like him?!

She wouldn't exactly call Malkus a friend--but to be fair, there are very few people outside of her family in this place that she'd call a friend yet--but that doesn't mean she's heartless. The elf's head tips to the side thoughtfully as Malkus flips to defensive mode, flapping his arms around like he was trying to take off from the ground, his whole appearance making the gesture more comical than the dramatic he was probably going for.

[ Malkus did not like to leave himself vulnerable, and as silly as the situation was, he felt completely exposed. The opinions of others meant so much to the superficial man, that to look like a fool would kill him! After all, Malkus has never looked like a fool to anyone before! ]
