Hi Lup, a friend sent me this, it seems really important!

There once was a boy who was a Halloween fanatic. He loved dressing up for Halloween, he loved pulling pranks and watching horror movies, and above everything else... he loved candy. One fateful year, while he went trick-or-treating, he visited a house. This house was creepy as hell! It was big, it was old, it smelled like a grandmother and it was owned by a happy, old rich couple. The boy came here thinking that he would be handed out big chocolate bars, because it was a rich person's house but when he knocked on their door... he was handed a bag of that shitty candy that nobody likes! Tootsie rolls, shitty flavoured dum-dums, those weird... peanut things... needless to say, the boy was heartbroken. He was so heartbroken that he died, right there on their porch and now, every Halloween he goes out and finds people to curse. He wants everyone to suffer the same way he did!

[Since accidentally becoming a demon, Ray hasn't been making the best decisions. I mean, living with a serial killer wasn't anything new, but it was still questionable! Point is: even worse decisions than usual. Which is why after a conversation and a good deal of obsessing over it, Rachel hop-flies herself on her miniature wings over to the Blupjeans farm. The problem with not having seen Daisy all that much, though, is that she doesn't actually...know for sure which one is her chicken. Best to scoop them all up!!!

She gets out of the barn before the hens make a huge fuss, and it's extremely tempting to punt them back into the coop and be on her way. The chicks are looking up at her with such big eyes, though... And peeping...]

[There's the sound of a hoof gingerly being used to tap the front of the door. Sorry for the rudeness, but her arms are full...and she's still being assaulted by angry moms, help.]

[Everything is awful. This is the worst day of all lives.

Luckily for all involved parties, it's Lup who answers the door instead of Barry - who would have just gone full heart attack at the sight of such an awful chicknapping - the naga peering outside with a frown before she recognizes Ray. Her mouth twists into a smile, one that immediately falters when she sees the chicks peeping in her arms... and the angry hens squawking all around her feet.]

[He tries to keep a cheery face, but his anxiety definitely shows in how pinched his pupils are, how high-pitched his voice is. Barry has spent all day running back and forth between his wife and the washroom, where he's got every towel and washcloth and t-shirt they own hanging on heat racks, getting nice and toasty.

Lup's shedding this month, and the heat lamp in the living room just isn't enough. So, naturally, Barry is nervous]

How're y'feelin, Lup? Still itchy? Here, lemme get that for ya, [and he goes back to hovering, like he's been doing all day, plucking an old towel off of her and draping a new one in it's place, nice and warm and damp.]

[Normally, Barry's nervousness is just one of the things that Lup finds completely adorable on him, how his shoulders quiver or his breathing quickens without notice, how all of the sudden the smell of him on the air shifts to something just a touch tastier.

Being a kelpie suits him fine, just like being a snake seems to fit Lup.

But when she's this deep into her shed, five days of this constant itch and complete discomfort, of rubbing her long body up against every table corner and wall in their home, everything about Barry's anxiety just hits all of Lup's nerves in the worst of ways. She's moody, flopped out across the whole of the living room with her long tail twitching this way and that, unable to keep still. Both of her eye scales aren't ready to pop out yet, but they're white and cloudy, blurring her vision just enough to leave her with a splitting headache.

Missing her legs? Ha! That hasn't been that difficult honestly. It's the shed that makes being a snake suck the most.]

Two seconds away from cutting myself out of this thing. [She's not great. But Barry manages to sweep in at just the right moment, switching out an old towel for one that's perfectly hot and damp and soothing with it comes exactly the relief she's needed.] Oh fuck...

[Lup melts into the couch at that, some of the tension in her shoulders disappearing immediately, her whole body going limp under him. If only their tub was big enough for her to fit in, they'd be just fine.]
